• Does anyone know if this is possible for someone who only has front end knowledge?
I think plugins are only for pages/posts?

  • There’s lots you can do in the Front Page!

Go into Customiz’it! and look in (4) Front Page.

    1) Do you need a Slider? If not, disable it. (Slider Options/Select front page slider = –No slider —

    2) Do you need the 3 Featured items? If not disable them. (Featured Pages Options = Disable)

The text remaining can be found in the Page=Sample Page. You can change that HTML to whatever you need.

The other Options in (4) Front Page give you further ways to customize that Front Page.

I think this is the beauty of this Theme – you don’t need to have a deep knowledge to achieve really satisfying results.

Thanks! I am using the slider and the three featured items. I want to create more text and
include a graphic on the first page that does not link to another page.

I can’t find the sample page. Is it part of the page/post items?
Is there a place where I can inject code?

Setup a new page = Home (or whatever name you choose).
Add the code you want to that page using Text/standard HTML or Visual/Text.

    Customiz’it! – (4)Front Page

Front page displays = A static page
    Front page = Home
Setup the front page layout – depends if you want sidebars, if not, select No sidebars:full width layout

Thank you! This is really helpful.
One more question if you know the answer..Is it possible to reorganize the structure of this layout? I would like to have the slider first, then my new content next, and then my 3 featured images.

It’s possible, but I’d say very challenging as you’d need to understand most of the php files in customizr/parts/class-*-* and work out how to change that order.

No easy answer to publish here, and the usual difficulty would be how to maintain the new code when a new update is released. Once you’d split away, I doubt you’d be able to continue to receive further updates of the Theme.

    ok, thanks for the advice!

Assuming it is resolved, can you set this as [resolved] please. (Dropdown in right sidebar) Helps monitoring what problems are still outstanding. Thanks.
