    Sorry for the trouble.

I have fixed the code and re-uploaded the beta zip file at the same url.

I’ve also fixed the display of the toggle button to be bigger.

Just in case anyone is curious, I’ve also added a summary of features and some screen shots of the plugin in action in my blog post. The beta plugin is also available for download from that page.

Ok so it is already activated the plugin. It’s okay. Almost all eShop me it works without any problems, and one eshop but one that has some conflicts with some plugins see url : https://goo.gl/PXgiHo

Not working collapse in url , setting : raw none

    Plugin Author Walter Lee

    (@saltern)

The collapse only works for setting: “flat -accordion”.

The other “Look – Feel” are for those who do not want the collapse/expand. In future, there can be other look and effects. For example, “tree” look or “fly-out/in” effects.

this title https://goo.gl/xEMqdi setting : raw none I have set , and it works great. Check. And on the previous link https://goo.gl/PXgiHo did not work … Why?

    Plugin Author Walter Lee

    (@saltern)

The reason why you set to “raw” and it still works is because either your blue theme or another plugin is using the “jquery ui accordion” Javascript on that page.

It is not due to my plugin. My plugin’s expand/collapse will only work if you set to “Flat – Accordion”. Try it and you will know what I mean.

Btw, I don’t think your widget is working correctly even if it has expand/collapse now. Because if you click the link, it should go to a page. if you click the “arrow” button it should expand/collapse. But now, when I click the link, it only expands but does not go to the page.

    (@saltern)

Your “blue” theme has a javascript that activates the category menu expand/collapse in the following file:

    https://xxxxxxxxxx/wp-content/themes/xxxxxboutique/js/helper.js

It is not due to my plugin.

    Thread Starter Lukas Prelovsky

    (@lukas-prelovsky)

I checked it and you’re right. Topic has a function collapse from its menu widget.

Yes when you set Flat – Accordion it works great, but it’s all gray in color and look at how it looks:

    https://goo.gl/JQDYvi

moreover, centering text and images is wrong

    Plugin Author Walter Lee

    (@saltern)

You are right that it doesn’t “look” correct.

You would need to manually style it to suit your theme. The CSS for the “Flat” look can be found in wp-content/plugins/xo10-woocommerce-categories-widget/includes/decorators/assets/flat.css

The reason why I didn’t add the expand/collapse to the other options (e.g. “raw”, “basic”) is because it would mess up the look for those that don’t need the expand/collapse but only need the category images.

Note that all the options in the “Look – Feel” must meet the ailgnment requirements (left, right, extreme left, extreme right, etc) so it is not possible to style it for all themes.

    1. image
    2. text
    3. post count
    4. toggle button

I understand. and Why can not that the widget pure white, without gray needle?

    Plugin Author Walter Lee

    (@saltern)

    Thanks for your understanding.

Why not pure white and gray needle? Good question, I also don’t know why ??

I wanted to complete the plugin as fast as possible so I just googled online for some common accordion menu styles and then skin the widget. In the end, it just turned out that way.

If you have a nice looking style that will work in all themes, please let me know so I can add it to the widget.

    (@lukas-prelovsky)

and to be inspired by all that we have with to this link https://goo.gl/xEMqdi

    using that collapse
    https://xxxxxxxxxx/wp-content/themes/xxxxxboutique/js/helper.js

thus exactly I imagined functionality and looks of your plugin. No additional styles, just pure white widget works beautifully …

    Plugin Author Walter Lee

    (@saltern)

Unfortunately, I can’t style it as a single color (e.g. pure white) because my other users will complain ??

I have quite a number of other users who are currently using green or black backgrounds and they want me to style the widget in pure green or pure black too.

So I must style the widget to have multiple colors so they can see the widget regardless of their current background colors and make changes themselves.

To have your pure white color, just search the “flat.css” and replace the background colors and border bottom colors in your theme to override them.
