To make entry of listing easier we created a property prices drop down list for the admin using the developers tab. However, we can not add the comma to separate thousands in the price in the developers area because commas make the price split into two lines. This means the price on the front looks bad without the commas.

How do we add commas to the prices, either in the admin or have them generated when being presented on the front pages?

In particular, how do I make the commas appear in the price drop down in the search widget?

    Hello.

You can set up separator symbol in Settings/Display tab. – https://screencast.com/t/bQig61vO

    Thank you for the screenshot.

I discovered that the problem was I didn’t know there were settings on the developer page that are hidden unless you click the link to open up the additional setting. I think you should make that link into a button so it would be more obvious. I wasted a lot of time trying to find a work-around for something that wasn’t broken ??
