Add company name to permalink URL

    My apologies if this has been answered already (didn’t see it anywhere). I’m new to WordPress, but your plugin has been a breeze to work with. My only question is whether or not it’s possible to add the company name into the permalink, as in: mysite.com/job/acme-company/my-job-title or mysite.com/acme-company/my-job-title.

    As that company name is meta data, probably not. I think it would also cause some performance issues (if its even possible).

    In 1.5.1 however, I have prepended the slug itself with company name to avoid conflicting job permalinks. It appears something like /job/company-name-job-title

    Thanks for the quick reply. That’s weird, I have version 1.5.1 but it still just puts the job title in the url, no company name: https://myjobsite.com/job/computer-guy/

    Do I need to activate something in order to get the company name in there too, because the way you described it working would be a great solution.

    Just read the release notes for 1.5.1 – I guess I should specify that I’m adding jobs from the admin dashboard and not the frontend job form – is the new url slug only available through that form?

    If you are adding manually, you can edit the permalink manually too – its beneath the title field.

    Got it – wasn’t sure if there was another way to automate it, was trying to have to eliminate entering data into one more field, but not a big deal. Thanks again for all the help. Once again, great plugin.
