'add contact form' media button is missing

    I’m missing the ‘add contact form’ media button when adding a new page.

    I read the ‘contact form’ tutorial in the WP support section, but can’t get it to work as the first step is to add a new contact form using the media button.

    Add a new contact form
    You can add contact forms to both posts and pages. Simply click the new “add contact form” media button.

    The button is missing. And i don’t want to use other plugins out there.

    I believe that is a wordpress.com feature for blogs on their site.

    Where do you activate that feature?

    You don’t. It’s a wordpress.COM feature…I’ve never used .com, so I’m not sure if a specific plugin gives you that exact feature

    for www.ads-software.com, you would need a contact form plugin. I have used cforms (not in the plugin area, search using google), and contact form 7

    cforms is a bit more involved
    cf7 is simpler

    both work great

    just search for contact form in the plugin area and see what you like

    with cforms, after creating a form, you have a button to insert it in a page/post
    with cf7, I can’t recall if it has a button, I think you use a shortcode to insert the form
