• I have 3-post blog site that needs to remain at just 3 posts (as the site is complete).

I’d like to keep adding content so that I can continue to build links and avoid Google’s Sandbox. So, I am looking for a way to add content that is visible to Google (likely to be SEO articles) but hide it from my readers so that it doesn’t confuse them.

When adding new pages, I notice that they are not linked from the homepage. So, am I safe to assume that I could add content by adding new pages? I understand that people could find them through Google etc, and that is fine – I just don’t want anyone typing in my .com top-level domain to see this content.

As a warning – I am not too technical, so need to find a way to do this that avoids changing any code in my CSS.

    Thanks!

Does anyone have an answer for this?

You could add some checking of the user agent, but that’s not really possible without some amount of code modifications. As an aside, if you add an article as a page and publish it but it doesn’t have any links to it, it’s not going to get picked up by Google anyways.

You could make new pages as you said, yes, and not link them from your homepage. People would still be able to visit them directly, if they know the exact URL.

Keep in mind Google won’t discover those pages if they aren’t linked from anywhere.

I’d advise against using user agents to serve different content to users and search engines. It’s called cloaking and can get you banned from Google:
