Add counts for download links

We’re just getting our site up and running with WP, but we have a quirk with it that I’m trying to get figured out, and am hoping this plugin can take care of it.
We upload and save our podcasts via FTP and then add their links into posts later. Is there a way to get those files counted when downloaded?
