• I currently own a huge database, let’s say a list of software, which have fields like: name, url-slug, description, size, date.. etc. and belong to three types of categories: OS, Company, Type.

I want to include this database in a blog. Let’s say I add another page in menu where people can list/search/browse all of this database. I still want to retain my blog capabilities. My main homepage will be a regular blog with articles about software and keep the database on a separate page.

What would be the least painful method to do that? I know it includes a lot of theme customization, I’m ready to go for it. But how should I integrate my existing database? Using taxonomies, custom fileds, existing wp categries, tags …what?
