Add Custom Options in Custom-Post Type

I am making a WordPress theme for my video production company. I want to use custom-post types for all my projects. On the new post page, I want to be able to have a section where I can easily fill out information about the film. Such as a text area for the “release date”, a section where I can add the crew, etc. Then save the content section for other things. Any help would be much appreciated!
