Add description meta for better SEO

    Hello!

    Doing some SEO optimization at the moment and would really like to ask you to add the ability to have the
    <meta name="description" content="XXX"/>
    added to the generated brand pages.
    If it is possible to add this functionality to the plugin – it would be a great feature.

    I did indeed notice that the Yoast SEO plugin showed a snippet with a description and thought this issue was resolved. I don’t recall if I checked the actual generated page back then, but I’m pretty sure I did.

    Long story short – my recent audit showed that the description isn’t generated.
    I have a hunch this may have something to do with the plugins being updated and that this functionality broke.
    I’ve tested this not to be a cache issue, I’ve updated the pages descriptions – no results.
    Could you kindly verify that Yoast SEO works properly with PWB with the latest versions?

    Hello again!
    Looks like this would be a Yoast SEO plugin issue.
    Page description isn’t properly generated when using %%excerpt%% – manually adding the description worked.
    I’ll open a ticket with Yoast.

    Hello @titodevera. Yoast SEO was only able to offer me their premium pack with support, so I guess the ball is in your court now. The issue is still present. Everything is updated to its latest versions. PM me if you care to look into this and need any information – I’d be glad to help.
