    Hello,

My client has a secured IT environment and asks me to use a DKIM key. I’ve read the documentation and I’ve understood that first of all I have to generate some keys (public and private) using an dedicated website and then:
    – The public key should be entered in the DNS of the nomain name
    – The private key: I have a doubt here. I’m using your free plugin / php sender. Where should I enter the private key?
Tx a lot for your help guys,
    Marine

    Hi @newki75,

Thanks for reaching out! Based on the email platform that you’re using (Eg: Google Workspace, Office 365, Hosting provider’s email), you need to follow their guide on how to set up a DKIM record.

Please get in touch with the hosting/email support, and they should be able to assist you further.

    Thanks!

Tx for your answer ! It means that as I’ve selected the PHP method, the DKIM should be set up at the domaine name level OR at the hosting level ?
Tx a lot for your help

    Hi @newki75,

Please note that when you’re using the ‘Default’ (PHP) mailer option under WP Mail SMTP -> Settings page, this is the method your site uses to send emails when SMTP is not set up.

You need to configure any other available mailer to deliver your website emails correctly. In case it helps, you can see all the available mailers from here and configure a mailer of your choice.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!
