add edit_comment capability to Authors

    Hello and thank you for your plugin.
    I require it for one small task: I need my Authors to be able to edit / delete their own comments after publishing. I have tried adding a custom capability i.e. “edit_comment” but it doesn’t seem to work.
    The only way that I can allow Authors to edit their comments is by allowing them to “edit others” which is way too much permissions for them.
    I would really appreciate any help on this matter.

    That post editing requirement is imposed by the WP core. It is beyond the support scope for this simple role editing plugin. With a little custom development, a separate capability could be applied to override the WP behavior. If you’re interested in contracting me for that work, there is a contact form on my plugin site.
