I’d like to add email address (of product producer) in product table for each product. After each order a custom email should be sent to that email address automatically. How to achieve this?

  • Hi @asmarif

Thank you for reaching out — we’re happy to help!

Currently, I’m not absolutely certain about what the goal here is, I’m afraid. Sounds like a marketplace, where you would like product producers to be notified of purchases on their products.

Could you please go ahead with elaborating further on what you are trying to achieve?

Provide us with a screenshot, so that we can see what you are describing, perhaps?

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, https://snipboard.io is a good option — for uploading it there, and sharing the link here afterward.
There is also a walkthrough guide here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

We look forward to your response. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

I’ll be adding products as admin on behalf of product sellers/vendors/producer on my WooCommerce installation. So what I need is to add seller email addresses in the backend product table as admin. Though, I’ll handle orders from buyers, I want an email to be sent to the respective seller/vendor/producer as notification only once an order has been placed by a Buyer for respective product.

Let me know if I still could not clear the ask.

    Hi @asmarif,

I’m thinking something with ACF and a bit of custom coding could achieve this. You’d also have to consider in the flow logic what happens if customers buy multiple products from multiple vendors. Would you send the same email to multiple vendors? Or split the orders or the emails accordingly?

Nevertheless, please keep in mind that this is outside the Core WooCommerce experience and thus beyond our support scope. If you’d like to try custom developing this, it’s best to ask for insight on this on either the?WooCommerce Advanced Facebook group?or the?WooCommerce Community Slack. Many of our developers hang out there and will be able to offer insights into your question. You can also seek help from the following:

I wish I could help more, but hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get some further insight/information.

    Cheers!
