Add Foogallery nothing happens

    FooGallery plugin has been successfully in use for years.
    Now suddenly, the click on Add FooGallery opens the selection page but clicking on a Gallery generates NO REACTION. Troubleshooting, with all other plugins deactivated, and with ONLY FooGallery and Classic Editor active, does not help.
    Copy paste the shortcode works fine.
