• I know there is a block to add a product to a page, but that only includes the summary product info that will require you to click on the title to view the full details of that product. Is there a way I can embed the full details of the product on a page and therefore not need to click into it?

  • Hey there, @gwmbox! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Typically you can paste the URL to a product on a page/post and it will load it via the Embed system. That’s the “built-in” way to handle this.

It is also possible to achieve this with custom code, if you want something different than the default embed.

While we can’t provide support for code customization as per our support policy, we do our best to offer advice and direct you to appropriate resources.

You can visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there too.

I hope this was clarifying. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!

Thank you for your reply. After several attempts to get this working I ended up using the product page shortcode [product_page id=”123″], this displays the full product content not just the summary (please never change that in future updates).

Hmm … when i use this and go to edit the page that the shortcode is on, instead of going to that pages edit screen, it goes to the product edit that is used in the shortcode. very odd. I have tried this on various themes and separate WP installs.

Is there another way to achieve this?

As I mentioned, it is also possible to achieve this with custom code. Were you able to access the resources I shared about it?
