Add Google Analytics Code in Child theme

hi there, I am using Neve with Child theme.

I was using Google Site kit for google analytics integration but it is not showing site loading speeds in Google analytics dashboard.

so I manually added the code into header.php in main theme and it worked.
but there is no such file I found in the child theme.

in this case, on updating theme the will be removed so looking for a permanent fix for.
