Is there a way to an “All Categories” link in a Category Dropdown list so users can return to the main blog page?

In my case I’ve added the Categories widget in my blog header (https://dev.iglu.net/blog/) and while all the categories are displayed, there’s no way from that menu to return to the main blog page. Is there a filter or something?

I think you can add menu in place of category then you can display both home and category .

Using custom url you can place home url as well as all category.

I tried that, even adding a walker to allow for dropdown functionality, but it’s still not quite right. I need a placeholder of “Select Category” to show in the box and haven’t been able to get that working.

You can do One thing Create Home catgory and redirect that to Home page you can use

www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/simple-301-redirects/ plugin and redirect single catgory page to Home page.

    Thanks

It’s a bit hacky, but it does work. Cheers.
