‘Add IDX Shortcode’ button error with ACF
-
I use Advanced Custom Fields (ACF Pro) plugin to add custom fields to my theme for real estate websites.
When I add a Wysiwyg Editor field to my WordPress admin pages using ACF plugin, the Add IDX Shortcode button does not trigger the modal window. Instead, it submits the main form on the page.
Step to recreate the issue:
Using Advanced Custom Fields plugin, create a new field group. Add a field with “Field Type” set to Wysiwyg Editor. Be sure “Show Media Upload Buttons?” is set to Yes. Location Rules: Show this field group if “Post Type” “is equal to” “Post”. Save the field and go to any Post add/edit page.
The Add IDX Shortcode button above the main WordPress editor works fine, but the one above the ACF custom field will submit the form when clicked.
This same issue is mentioned here but did not provide steps to recreate the issue: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/shortcode-button-in-wysiwyg-updates-page/
