  • I lost my media upload buttons!
No, they were just consolidated into one. You can upload all media types via the one button.

ok I see the one button media upload button but images are not showing up and can’t edit the sizes

    images are not showing up

Check your uploads path in Settings -> Media. In most installs, this field should remain blank.

    can’t edit the sizes

And how exactly are you trying to edit the images sizes?

I used to upload images and then you would see the thumbnail right there and then at the bottom you can pick a size that you wanted out of the media settings that you set, now I can’t see my thumbnails anywhere…

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

it will not allow me to deactivate all my plugins,
because of an var/content/apache folder or something

Then reset the plugin’s folder. If you have problems doing that, contact your hosts for assistance. You may have a folder ownership issue.

I deactivated plugins, images still not showing up in new post

Have you checked the uploads path in settings -> Media. Have you checked, via FTP, to see if the images are being uploaded correctly?

    Thread Starter tee730

    (@tee730)

how do I check via ftp to see if they are being uploaded correctly

    Pardon? Can you use FTP?

    Thread Starter tee730

    (@tee730)

yeah I can use FTP, but what am I changing or what am I looking for to check the path settings

You are just checking to see if the images have been uploaded to the correct uploads folder.

    Thread Starter tee730

    (@tee730)

so when I check the upload folder what am I checking?

    Thread Starter tee730

    (@tee730)

I don’t see the new pictures that I was uploading but my settings are set for them to upload to that folder…
