Add Image to Post "Authentication Required"

Hey all, I’m having the same issue as those in the link below, but I have none of the plugins mentioned nor any of the files mentioned (.htpasswd & .htaccess).

It doesn’t look like the issue was ever resolved before being closed.

The browser requests credentials from mydomain.com when trying to upload images to the gallery and then when trying to insert them to the post. None of the credentials for my domain or wordpress work.
