add media buttom and any other editing buttons not working when i updated to 4.0

  • Hi all

    I updated to 4.0 just now and i cant add any media file. Even the editing buttons such as bold italic and underline and other stuff are not showing. So basically i am not able to add or make any changes. I’ve tried deactivating all plug ins, clearing caches.

    please help me as i am new at this

  • Regarding the issue with media uploads, I have had the same problem with no response or help offered on this forum. I guess we will have to wait and hope this is fixed in a new release of WP core.

    You can fix the issue with the editing buttons by adding the following to your wp-config file:

    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false );

    hi thank yuou for your response. How do it do that? that adding that code to wp-config file… i really have no idea how to do that

    Did you install WordPress yourself manually? Or did your hosting provider do/automate the install?

    automate install… i didnt do the manually install or update

    Depending on your hosting provider, you may not have access to the core files.

    You simply need to add the line to your wp-config.php file.

    thanks for the help. i really have no idea what that means. the thing is that i didnt start the website. it was only passed on to me as the one who started it left church so i was asked to try it and had been doing basic stuff like adding events and uploading photos.

    anyway thanks for the help mate…i really appreciate it
