Add Media button not responding

  • I have just joined www.ads-software.com but I am used to wordpress.com. When I’m attempting to add an image to a post the ‘add media’ button does not respond. It doesn’t take me to ‘choose file’ or any other option.
    I have had to click the ‘disable the visual editor’ option in my user profile to post anything so not sure if this might be why – but if I unclick that box in my profile, I can’t see any text, just red lines.
    So my questions
    1) How do I make the Add Media button respond?
    2) If it requires me unclicking on the disable visual editor option, how do I then solve the problem of not seeing any text
    The site I’m talking about is health-e-land.com – it’s very rough right now, I’m literally using it to attempt to learn my way round before migrating my real site! Hope someone can help
