Add Media Button Not Working

There is nothing wrong with WP – there’s likely a problem in the javascript in a plug-in you are using or perhaps your theme. Start by following the troubleshooting steps in this thread:

As mentioned on another (closed) thread, disabling page speed optimisations seems to do the trick for dreamhost based WP installs.

I have been having the same issues, without being able to use the add media button. My culprit was the Postsible : Facebook Content Management plugin version 1.2. As soon as I deactivated that plugin, my add media was enabled again and there were no javascript issues. Try deactivating each plugin one at a time with the exception of askimet, to see if one of the plugins are effecting the javascript and then test out the add media button in you posts.

This is common enough WP Support should be offering some specific advice.
