Add Media Feature Not Working Properly since updating to WP 4.0 from 3.9.2

Same Problem… “Add Media” button not working att all! not in post editor not even in media library !

Yeah this is crazy! You are going along and everything is fine…then you get prompted to upgrade to 4.0 and nothing works right?!? Crazy stuff…..let me know if you get this fixed somehow.

Am pouring over all of that now. Didn’t know you had to go through all oof this just to update your WordPress version? This is all new to me.

@andrew why we should see all these steps to resolve a problem that did’nt exist on all versions of wordpress unless v4.0? i hope i can say what i want to say in english language… i upgraded wordpress at least 10 times until now (3 years at least) and never get any problems! but now this problem happend and i should do these many steps? i restored my backup to my 3.9.2 version that work properly… i think they must update another version that dont need any troubleshooting …

OK, I have established that when I try another browser (Google Chrome) that the problem goes away and all is working properly again with the “Add Media” feature. I am using Internet Explorer 9…do I need to upgrade that to IE 11? Is that the problem? I really am used to using IE exclusively as my browser of choice…..

OK, my issue has been resolved. Mine was a browser specific issue. I had to upgrade from Internet Explorer 9 to Internet Explorer 11. If anyone else has to do that, make sure that you have SP1 (Service Pack 1) installed on your computer. Also, make sure that you have all of the prerequisite Windows updates installed before you try to download/install Internet Explorer 11.
