• Hi all,

I’m using Polylang with the X-theme and Cornestone, and I just wanted to share a solution (workaround) I found for media files not showing up in the add-media window:
go to the WordPress settings/languages/ then in the “settings” tab make sure the checkbox marked “Activate languages and translations for media” is deselected.

    Hi!

Yes. It depends on your usage. If you don’t need to translate media titles and descriptions, that’s the right thing to do.

If you need to translate media titles and descriptions, then it’s better to keep the checkbox checked and to translate all media. Polylang filters media according the the post’s language you are editing. That’s why you may get nothing in add media window if you did not translate them in the post’s language.

    Hi Chouby,

    Thanks for clarifying.
I’ve never come across an area in the dashboard where I could translate media titles or descriptions, out of curiosity where/how would I be able to translate a media title?
