Add Media from page editor not working

If I’m in the “Post Editor” and click the “Add Media” button then click the “Upload Files” tab to add images, multiple image sizes are generated and added to the wp-content/uploads folder. That’s awesome but if I do the same from the “Page Editor” no images are added to the uploads folder.
