Add media not working

  • When editing a page, I have tried to add media but absolutely nothing happens. I have already added pictures prior to this and the pictures I want are in my library and unattached to a page. When I am on the page I want to insert the picture on-I click the insert media and nothing happens. HELP!

    Could be permission issue.
    – Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777.

    Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again (very important for security reasons!) and check that everything still works OK.

    Thank you for your advice however I am very dense when it comes to this stuff. Can you tell me how to find the wp-content directroy so I can try changing the permissions.

    Look in the root of your WP installation. There should be three directories i the root of WP installation: wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes

    ?? ok I am really ignorant-how do I find the root of my WP installation.

    Note the post titled “Media Library gronked.” Some of the symptoms are the same. Wondering if there’s a library-related bug in this release of WP.
