Add menu category with products for sale

?Its possible to create a category when appears only the products for sale an put in the main menu or in the homepage icons?

?Virtue theme allows also create a category with, for example, “New” products with an icon in the product image (like woocommerce does when create a product for sale) and add this in the menu or in the homepage icons in the same way?
