• The format pop-up in the visual editor has presets for paragraph, and headers 1 through 6.

I know not to use 1 through 3 since the default template uses those else where. I’d like to use 4 and 5 for some custom headers and text in posts, but I can’t seem to make them “normal”. They come out as bold even though I write “font-style: normal” in the CSS.

Maybe using the “headers” is defaulted to bold? Is there a way to write custom tags for the pop-up menu? I’d like to give the tags names like “Title” and “price” in the pop-up. And then assign them whatever style I wish.

Okay, a little more info: those two posts are written a while ago and they don’t seem to touch on 2.7. But I realize I was using “font-style” when I should have been using “font-weight”.

So, in the absense of any real info out there about how to get labelled custom CSS listings in the format menu (only real find was here, and it’s an unanswered post), I’m going to use h4 as the title and h5 as the description styles, and tell my client that he’ll have to use those labels to get what he needs.

This would be a great feature for future releases: to be able to easily customize the format menu.

Hey David, I’m still reading through the rest of your post. But to remove bolding from text, you need to use font-weight, not font-style (that’s for italics and such). Hope that helps!

Note: Sorry David I finished reading your post to discovered you’d answered your question. Thanks for the post I’m on the hunt too.
