Add New Event defaults to GMT

So when I click to add a new event, the time in the dropdown box defaults to the current time in GMT. It has the timezone below that listed correctly but it doesn’t change the dropdown to reflect the current actul time. Since I do most of my edits in the evening, it’s currently showing 3AM when it’s really 9PM and I have to scroll all the way to the other end of the time dropdown to get to the current time.

Not sure if that’s a bug, if it’s by design, or if there’s a setting somewhere I’m missing, but it’s quite annoying… ??
