    Hi there,

We just installed the plugin. When we try to add a new Notification, we get a blank white screen.

We have WordPress 5.1.1. Maybe it is not compatible?

    Would appreciate your help.

    Thanks,
    M

    Hi @clairporium,
    Thanks for your message.

It should be compatible and I haven’t had any issues in my testing. It is most likely a plugin conflict that is causing the issue.

Usually an error is generated in your error_log file on your server when a blank white screen occurs as it indicates a fatal error. This is usually in the WordPress site root folder which you can access via FTP. Alternatively, you may need to log into your hosting account or ask them to help with this to find it.

If you could let me know the fatal error then I can investigate some more.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately, the error log is not showing any information.

Are there certain plugins that are known to conflict?

The plugin was used successfully on another website, so was hoping to use it again, but can’t seem to figure out what’s interfering.

    Hi @clairporium,
Hmm. If there’s nothing in the error log then it’s slightly trickier to track down the specific cause.

Best thing I can recommend to troubleshoot would be to make your way through this document and let me know how you get on?

    Hi @voltronik ,

We’ve gone through our plugins. There’s a conflict with the CMSMasters Content Composer, which was created by CMSMasters team. This plugin is a custom visual editor with shortcodes & settings integrated to WordPress default content editor for new cmsmasters WordPress themes.

As soon as we disabled CMSMasters Content Composer, the blank screen issue was resolved. Unfortunately, this plugin is a page builder specific to our theme, so we can’t disable it or replace it with another.

Do you think it’s possible to temporarily disable CMSMasters Content Composer to create the notifications we need, and then just re-enable it when we are done? Would the notifications still work?

Or, do you have some other solution?

    Thanks,
    M

    Hi @clairporium,
I honestly couldn’t say. As it’s a custom visual editor plugin that’s been created for you then you’d need to do a fair amount of testing to see what works for you.

Ultimately, I’m sure you can appreciate, I wouldn’t be able to provide specific support or changes to BNFW to get this to work for this particular situation but i’m hoping that you can find a work around for your current set-up.

    Hope this helps.
