    Hi

    I have a new custom page template and want to assign this to a new page, But when I “Add New” page, I can’t see where I can change the default template – or am I missing the whole plot!?>

    Cheers from a very sunny UK

  • When creating a new page, there should be a section on the right labeld “attributes”

    There should a dropdown listing your page templates. You’ll just need to select the appropriate one.

    Make sure your new page template file is put in your current active theme folder as well.

    Thanks geraldyeo, but all I see in the ‘Attributes’ Section is:- Parent & Order, no mention of Templates ?? link to screen shot
    Would it be a setting I have accidentally switched off??

    @poogig: You are not seeing it because no page templates can be found in your current theme.

    Did you put the page template file in your current theme folder?

    If you did, is the page template named?

    i.e. can you find something similar to this:

    /*
    Template Name: THE NAME
    */

    at the top of the file…
