• Hi all!

I’ve been trying to fix my website since it was hijacked and malicious codes were injected to my database and files were created in my server.

Now, I managed to delete all unauthorized files, cleared my database from the javascripts that were added under wp_post. I also replaced the WordPress core files.

Everything is fixed, no redirects from any of my website’s pages anymore.

However, there’s only one more problem. Apparently, when I try to add a new page, or even go to “Add New Page”, it redirects to a spammy site. I tried to check Inspect Element using Chrome and I found the malicious codes:

    <script type="text/javascript" async="" defer="" src="https://xxxxxxxxxxxxx"></script>

    <script type="text/javascript" async="" src="https://xxxxxxxxxxxxx"></script>

Now, I’m not sure where I can fix this. Everytime I run Wordfence, the plugin cannot detect this.

    Can someone help me out?

  • If it’s not in your WP core files or your theme, then the code must be injected somewhere in your DB.

Try doing a High Sensitivity scan in WordFence instead of the basic one.

Can you provide a link to your site, please?

Hi Ilona, I appreciate the response.

    I’ll do that now.

    Website URL:

I want to let you know that I did the Inspect Element on the “Add New Page” page on the Dashboard. That’s where I saw the last remaining malicious codes.

Simply use any Text Editor, search for that very string in your files, and remove it.

    Hi Ilona,

Wordfence High Sensitivity scan done, no detection.

    Hi danthefan,

I checked, there’s nothing under Text Editor. Here’s what happens. After I go to Pages, then I click Add New (for pages), the Add New page opens then after a few seconds when it’s done loading the entire Add New page screen it then redirects to the spam website.
