Add New Plugin Option disappeared

I have had no problem installing plugins. Now I want to upload an additional Google plugin for the free BP Business Directory and the “Add New” button on my Plugins Page has disappeared. How do I get it back? Am I only allowed so many plugins on my site. I am new at this. Please help.
