    hello,

    i have a site located at https://www.softballnb.ca and whenever I click on add new post i get the following error..

    Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /srv/disk3/babysteps/www/softballnb.ca/wp-admin/includes/post.php on line 641

    when the add new post page loads i get the following error.

    Enter title here
    Permalink: ?preview=true
    You are currently editing the page that shows your latest posts.

    the same when I click on add new page.

    I have never came across this before and have no idea what I am doing and don’t want to screw up the site totally..

    I have disabled all plugins which did not fix the issue, changed the theme to a default wordpress theme and it did not fix it. I am uploading a fresh install of wordpress as we speak … and then I will try uploading a fresh install of the theme itself. I am asking here if anyone knows this issue who might be able to tell me if i am wasing my time with re-uploading and might be able to give me a point in the right direction.

    Update! *Fresh install of WordPress was not successful..

    Have you also tried flushing all types of cache:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare. If you are using SiteLock, manage your caching there.
    – Flushing Managed host caches. Managed WP hosting often has special caches. If your host has a “Purge Varnish” or “Flush Memcache” tool, try that. You can ask your provider to flush memcache and Varnish for you if necessary.

    I have deleted Deactivated WP Super Cache and that did not work… i get this error at the top of the page that says
    “Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /srv/disk3/babysteps/www/softballnb.ca/wp-admin/includes/post.php on line 641”

    I have tried uploading the post.php again but it does not work ..

    I also see something that says “You are currently editing the page that shows your latest posts.” and instead of the regular update button I have a button that says Submit for Review…

    also I just noticed that I cannot upload media to the site as well… I really don’t know what is going on…. I am stuck….

    Also try:
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Thank you for all your help! I disabled ALL plugins and enabled them 1 by 1 this did not help, I found no problematic plugins. I found a solution that worked for me at the following link

    I had to go into phpmyadmin and select all the tables and repair them.. Weird I guess this can happen sometimes when migrating a site.

    Hope this post stays up here on case anyone else has the same issue.
