Add number to product by customer

    Is it possible to add a select field to the product
    and in the first option there will be a simple message,
    and in the second option will be field for entering the number by the customer.
    And customer must choose one option before adding the product to the basket.

    For example on product page near “add to cart” button:

    Please choose a licence version:
    select A: I don’t have a driver yet
    select B: My driver number: ………………. <– here customer should paste the number

    I will be grateful for every hint. Maybe there is a plugin for that?

  • You could use WC Fields Factory from www.ads-software.com/plugins, though not exactly as you describe.

    You would need a radio button group for A or B, and a text field for the driver number.

    Those options aren’t available within WooCommerce by default, so you’d need a plugin or custom-development to get that functionality.

    We have this option at WooCommerce.com: https://www.woocommerce.com/products/product-add-ons/ that will allow you to add the two options and allow for text input from the customer.

    However, if you’d like to use conditional logic (ex: start with one question “Do you have a driver?” with the Answers “Yes” and “No”, and if the customer chooses “Yes”, then a dropdown field where they can enter their driver’s number appears). Then you’d need something like the Gravity Forms plugin + our plugin here to do that: https://www.woocommerce.com/products/gravity-forms-add-ons/

    There should be other .org plugin options to look into as well.
