• I want to run two blogs, to basically the same target group of people,(hence it would be the same list of subscribers) but i would like to make it a membership sign in to either one or other or both blogs. I have a main domain and an add on domain. I have istalled and developed my site on the main domain, do i need to install wordpress on both domains? i would like them to be similar, and really to edit them from the same dashboard. I just what to split the blog page really. Is this possible?

  • I don’t think this is possible. As the database records the URL and path. So if for example you have 2 WordPress installation on different domains (let’s call them main and addon) but are using the same database, then the addon WP installation will not be able to fetch the data in the database. It will result to 404 error. Since the ‘siteurl’ encoded in the database resolves to your main domain.
