Hi, I already have one WordPress blog and want to add a new blog. How do I add one more blog? Thanks.

  • Are you talking a new blog on a different domain name? If you want to create a second blog website then you can either create a subdomain on your existing domain or buy a new domain name.

I want to add a new domain name for creating a new blog site. I have already bought the new domain. So now what do I do? Do I do another WordPress install or use the same one? Any suggestions? Thanks.

So I need to ‘Create a Network’? I checked the links. I think it will take me a while to do it, right?

Please don’t create multiple topics for the same thing, those get closed or deleted when found.

Multisite lets you run more than one WordPress blog or site but with a single software installation. That makes maintaining your multiple sites easier.

BUT it is a little more complicated and you need to be aware of how DNS works. Also it is not designed to permit content to be shared between sites in the network and out of the box you can’t use different domains. Using different domains requires another plugin and even more DNS setup.

Start by giving this a read.

That should give you an idea of how to begin to set that up.
