I was working on a new table (ID 10) and went to delete a few rows. The page refreshed and the table was completely empty. It was as if it had deleted every row and column.

I luckily had the table open in another tab, so I set up a new table (ID 11) and began copy/pasting it over. I got to the end and needed an extra tow, so I tried to add one and again it wiped the table.

I’m terrified to edit any of the other tables I’ve previously made. Any idea what might be the problem?

Apologies. Looks like it was some sort of weird character issue that was forcing the table to reload. I was able to copy/paste five rows at a time and export the new table over and over until I found the one row that was causing the problem.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble. Yes, unfortunately, uncommon characters can break the internal data format that WP-Table Reloaded uses and with that break tables.

In the official and designated successor plugin of WP-Table Reloaded, called TablePress, I have changed the default format, so that this should no longer happen. I therefore suggest that you switch to TablePress, which you can find at https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/tablepress/ together with instructions on how to switch at https://tablepress.org/migration-from-wp-table-reloaded/

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
