Instead of using the built-in WP Password protect option, I would like to try to password protect a single page via the server.

Is this possible, or do I need to just install wordpress in that director and keep it protected?

    To get started…
I have of course protected a sub directory on the server and have created the php template page there with the necessary php code to pull in the desired category posts.
Any thoughts on what I should do next to get the file to recognize my current site’s theme?

Thanks for your help in advance.

I am still having a difficult time deciding how to go about this…

I guess I am simply trying to make a “members” page that requires a server side username and password. This will allow me to put all the members files in the same directory.

I just want to be able to edit the sub directory page in my normal wordpress rather than creating a new one for that directory.

    Any thoughts?
