    One question: What is the benefit of having more photos in the album then being displayed?

    If you want a few thumbnails as a preview sample of the albums content, you can better use covertype imagefactory ( see Table IV-D6 ), what can hold up to 24 cover photos ( See Table IV-D6.1 ).

    Hi Jacob,
    so you suggest to use type=generic for the shortcode, set covertype to imagefactory and then the number of cover photos to my required number.
    For me it looks promising, alltough it’s again a general settings and not as flexible as when it can be set with the shortcode.

    I’ll discuss this with my content owner an we’ll see what they think about it ??

    Table IV-D6: Covertype is not really systemwide, its a default value that can be overridden at the album admin screen. Only the max number of cover images is systemwide.
