add .php extension to the permalink of woocommerce product pages

I think you’d just add it in settings > permalinks, but this is not WooCommerce specific. It would affect all WordPress permalinks.

can you pls be specific how to do that?

I have already added
Custom Structure https://mysite.com /%postname%.php

but its affecting only the wordpress posts not the product & category page

The product permalinks are further down that settings page.

but it doesnt allow to add the .php extension to it we can only add the Product category base & product base in it… I want to add .php to the product and product category pages like

https://example.com/product/product-name.php

Ah yeah its a base, not the full URL.

Guess you should look into https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/59024/add-html-dot-html-extension-to-custom-post-types to support products custom post type.

p.s. I highly doubt this has any seo benefit these days – it seems a pointless exercise.

I have a WooCommerce store on my WordPress site and have had a programer do some work and is not available anymore. I have a situation where the taxonomy is different on a few categories than others which will display the page in either catalog (box) style or a list style. I have looked through the parent child hierarchy and find no difference between the two. How would I find what determines the taxonomy/layout differences.

Example:
https://www.behlencountry.com/product-category/3-point-implements/3-point-implement-parts/
This shows the items in a list form which is natural for the hierarchy of the parent child relationship.

https://www.behlencountry.com/product-category/3-point-implement-parts/
This displays products in a box catalog which is desired but not in the natural hierarchy.

How do I recreate this to be permanent to this category and new ones?
