Add plugins does not work

  • Hi
    I get the following fault message at add plugins: ‘An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration.’

    www.ads-software.com is OK (it works in a local test environmemt), it must be a fault of my site.
    Any suggestions?

    When I enable reporting of faults I get:
    Warning: An unexpected error occurred. … in C:\HostingSpaces\web12345\xyz\wwwroot\wp-admin\includes\plugin-install.php on line 165.

    I have the exact same issue:
    Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to www.ads-software.com. Please contact your server administrator.) in …/public_html/think/wp-admin/includes/plugin-install.php on line 165
