I have checked all Recurring Event Capabilities for EDITOR. However, when I logon as Editor, adding recurring events message of “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”. As you can see below, I allowed Editor with recurring privileges.

    Here’s my screenshot link… https://screencast.com/t/wBMuKjBFarPS

The Editor role is capable of performing other recurring events – edit, etc. Just cannot “add recurring events”.

Is there something missing, does other users of the Events Manager have similar problems when allow other Roles (Editor, Author…) to manage Events…

    Here’s my website link… https://dev.discoveryharbour.net

Thanks for responding to my issue…

    Kind Regards,

    hi,

did you already check the user capabilities at events > settings > general > user capabilities?

Thanks so much Angelo for responding in such a short time.

Yes, I did all the settings in the User Capabilities for Editor. You can see the screenshot here https://screencast.com/t/wBMuKjBFarPS I am wondering if this is a known problem? You can test this problem by creating an new user with Editing role. Then check all the parameters for Editor in the User Capabilities configuration.

    Thanks and Aloha,

    Aloha Angelo,

I notice when I change this user from and Editor to the “calendar contributor” role, adding recurring events is allowed. Unfortunately, this user needs to me an Editor role.

Hope this bit of info helps…

    Aloha,

Add Recurring Event is allowed when the user is an Author too. When the user is an Editor, the Add Recurring Event does not work in the Recurring Events display. I get this message “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

    Hope this helps…

    Aloha

Are you using any other plugins or custom code for creating / editing user capabilities / roles?

    Aloha Caimin,

I removed “Capability Manager Enhanced” and that had NO effect on the Editor able to Add Recurring Events. The roles (Admin, Author,etc..) work fine.

I do have other plugins that may or may not effect Events Manager User Capabilities. I do need these plugins to make my site effective and usable.

I would be glad to create another site to assist in trouble shooting this issue.

Have you replicated this issue on your dev website?

    Thanks so much for response.

I imagine one of my plugins are causing the issue. Unfortunately, I need these plugins.

I did find a work-around. By using Capability Manager Enhanced plugin, I was able to create a new role and provide this role with necessary privileges allowing this user to “Add Recurring Events”.

Thanks you so much for taking the time to tend to my issues.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    Aloha,
