Add referee field to "add matches" screen

Could you please explain (or include in a future update) how to add a “referee” field to the add matches screen and show it on the “match plan” screen please. There seems to be a lot of requests on this and so i’m wondering why it was not perhaps included to date, as the official that handles the game is a very important factor in a league or tournament setup. I am hopeless at php so if you could kindly explain in a very basic way that i might understand i would really appreciate it. Including code that i could copy and paste (the file name) and the line that it would go on would be even better…….. ??
