I’m using the the ‘Simpla‘ theme, and have been for a while. Though it’s a great theme, it lacks any kind of search function whatsoever. I’d like to add the ablity to search, using WordPress, however looking through the Codex I couldn’t find anything that waw descriptive enough to help. So, what must I do to add the search function back into this theme?

I’d like to get this figured out and added by Wensday, so getting this resolved soon would help.

    My blog.

  • Can’t you take a look at the two themes that come with the WP package (default and classic) and see how the search is added?

I looked at Kubrik – but it makes no sense to me. :/

I suggested the TWO themes because they use 2 different methods.
K – is calling to include a separate file: searchform.php
Classic – has the searchform in the sidebar

    Pick one…

Wonderful. Took one look at Clasic’s sidebar code, copied it out, and it worked fine. Changed a few tags and all is good. Thanks. ??
