So I’m using the WordPress Related Posts plugin, and it’s the only one I could find that allows excerpts inserted as well.

But it annoys me since the author didn’t specify how I can insert the function in to my template should I choose to insert it elsewhere.

In any case, I don’t like the way it looks at the moment, inserted right below a post’s content as if it were actually part of it. So I was wondering how could I create a separate sort of box below the post’s box and above the comment box (not the comment field).

    Any help is appreciated.

  • I can’t see what the problem is with the related posts display ion your single post pages at the moment. If you placed the plugin’s shortcode (or function call) inside a div (eg <div class="related-posts">...</div>), you could then start styling it.

I don’t like it being there. People told me that they though that it was actually part of the post, this is why I want to separate it.

The plugin automatically places the plugin in the post page, and I can’t find the function call.

I’m pretty sure there’s a style for some sort of a box in the style.css however I’m no expert.

So my dillema is finding the function call in the plugin file, the box style in the style.css and where and how to place it in the singleposts.php.

Nobody knows? I can’t contact the plugin author since his/her website is chinese, nor can I find the specific box style from the .css since, well, I’m a newbie.
