add shipping classes to Local pickup

Could you tell us a bit more about what you’re trying to accomplish? You’re correct though when you say there is no default feature to add a shipping class to the Local Pickup settings.

If your goal is to add different shipping costs associated with different products for the Local Pickup method you can create shipping classes, name them Local Pickup {Product Name}, link each shipping class to the respective product, and create a flat rate (rename it to Local Pickup). Say I have the following products:

Product 1
Product 2
Product 3

Product 1 have is own shipping class -Free shipping-

Product 2 have an other shipping class let’s say -8.50$ per box-

Product 3 can be picked up at the store so it will have the shipping class – Local pickup- but can be ship with the same price of the product 2 (8.50)

If someone adds the 3 products at the same time in the cart, he will have to pay $8.50 for product 2 and $0.00 for product 1 and for product 3.

If I do as you say, I add a zone with a name like -Local pickup- it won’t work because the other zones will block my options… It’s hard to explain.

I can’t put the local pickup option because it’s not mandatory for the customer, he must be able to choose.

In fact, to put it simply. On some item I need to add the option (which is not mandatory then for example: On some item the cost costs 5.95 * [qty] BUT can also be 0.00 * [qty] if he chooses the local pickup . ) and this without modifying the shipping prices for the other items. (My shipping price is not the same everywhere in Canada… My shipping zone is important because for example in Quebec it costs $5 and in Ontario it costs $8..)
