Add sidebar to child

Hello Michael,

I have made a child-theme modification of MH Magazine lite. I am trying to add a sidebar, so that on every page on the site I have two sidebars, one on the left of the content, one on the right of the content. The original theme has only the one sidebar which you can place on either side. I have the original sidebar placed on the left.

So far I have successfully registered my right sidebar, and I believe I have followed the necessary steps to call the sidebar as it does appear in the widgets area of my dashboard/administrative pages. However, it does not appear on the site itself. I even have the room for it, having added .col-3-3 in the columns section of the child theme’s stylesheet, as well as calling that column in my templates.

So what exactly am I doing wrong? Is there some setting I overlooked that only allows one sidebar to be present at a time? Have I not properly told my templates to include .col-3-3?

I have been working on this for a very long time and I have tried everything I could think of, so I would greatly appreciate help on this.
