Add some space between two items in content container?

I moved my slider down into the content container because I wanted to be able to have the right hand side bar next to the slider. My homepage is set to be latest blog posts and my issue right now is that I would like to add a little bit of space between where the slider stops and the first blog post title begins, but I’m not sure how to do that exactly. Any help to figure it out would be appreciated as I feel like they are too jammed together the way they are. Thank you for your time.
